KONFERENZ: Doing Business with Pride – Economic Empowerment of LGBTIQ+, BIPoC, and Women in German Economic and Development Cooperation

Am 15. und 16. Oktober 2026 kommen Akteur*innen aus Zivilgesellschaft, Social Enterprises, Forschung, Wirtschaft und Entwicklungszusammenarbeit in Hamburg zusammen, um zu diskutieren, wie die wirtschaftliche Teilhabe von LGBTIQ+ Personen, BIPoC und Frauen gestärkt werden kann. Die Konferenzteilnahme ist kostenlos.
Im Mittelpunkt stehen die wirtschaftlichen Folgen von Ausgrenzung sowie konkrete Strategien und Praxisbeispiele, mit denen wirtschaftliche Teilhabe gestärkt werden kann. Zum Abschluss richtet sich der Blick darauf, wie die gewonnenen Erkenntnisse in die deutsche Wirtschafts- und Entwicklungszusammenarbeit einfließen können.
Die Konferenz wird von Engagement Global im Rahmen des Programms Entwicklungsbezogene Bildung in Deutschland (EBD) durchgeführt, gefördert durch das Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ), in Kooperation mit der Hamburg Alliance for Social Entrepreneurship und mit Unterstützung der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

On 15 and 16 October 2026, actors from civil society, social enterprises, research, business and development cooperation will come together in Hamburg to discuss how the economic participation of LGBTIQ+ people, BIPoC and women can be strengthened. Conference participation is free of charge.
The conference focuses on the economic consequences of exclusion as well as concrete strategies and practical examples for strengthening economic participation. The final session will consider how the insights gained can inform German economic and development cooperation.
The conference is conducted by Engagement Global as part of the Programme for Development Policy Education in Germany (Entwicklungsbezogene Bildung in Deutschland, EBD), funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), in cooperation with the Hamburg Alliance for Social Entrepreneurship and with support from the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
