Der Prototype Fund lädt euch herzlich zum Demo Day am 03.03.2025 im bUm in Berlin-Kreuzberg ein.

Wir sind ein durch das Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung finanziertes Förderprogramm, welches Open-Source-Projekte aus der Gesellschaft und für die Gesellschaft fördert.
Bei unserem Demo Day stellen die Projekte der bereits 16. Förderrunde ihre Arbeitsergebnisse und den Weg dahin in Vorträgen, Panelgesprächen und Live-Demos vor. In der sechsmonatigen Förderperiode haben die Entwickler*innen sich mit unterschiedlichsten technologischen und gesellschaftlichen Fragestellungen beschäftigt: Von versehentlichen Beiträgen zur OpenStreetMap über das Messen von Verkehrsaufkommen und bessere Kameraunterstützung auf Linuxhandys bis hin zur Pseudonymisierung von Datenbanken gibt es fast nichts, das es nicht gibt. Nun ist es an der Zeit, diese Arbeiten zu zeigen und zu feiern!
Neben den Projektpräsentationen erwartet die Gäste im Rahmenprogramm wie immer eine spannende Keynote und viel Zeit zum Austausch mit Geförderten und Publikum sowie ein leckeres Catering!

The Prototype Fund invites you to its Demo Day on March 3rd 2025 at bUm in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
We are a funding program financed by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research that supports open source projects in the public interest.
At our Demo Day, the projects of the 16th funding round present their work results and the process of getting there in presentations, panel discussions and live demos. During the six-month funding period, the developers have dealt with a wide range of technological and social issues: From accidental OpenStreetMap contributions to measuring traffic volumes and better camera support on Linux phones to the pseudonomization ofdatabases, there is almost nothing that does not exist. Now is the time to showcase and celebrate this work!
In addition to project presentations, the program includes, as always, an exciting keynote and plenty of time to exchange ideas with the grantees and the audience, as well as delicious catering!
